Job Summary:
As a Business Resiliency Associate in the International Consumer Bank central resiliency team, you will help maintain a robust control environment that safeguards our customers and business operations. You will ensure our planning and documentation align with firmwide standards and regulatory expectations. You’ll provide guidance to stakeholders, support continuous improvement, and help protect customer-critical services. Your work will directly contribute to our ability to respond effectively to disruptions and maintain trust with our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders on the resiliency framework, lifecycle expectations, and toolset usage to improve plan quality and adherence to standards.
- Execute quality assurance reviews of resiliency documentation, documenting observations and tracking actions through to completion.
- Support initiatives to develop and continuously improve the business resiliency programme, including governance routines, controls, and delivery against key milestones.
- Coordinate inputs, prepare evidence packs, and maintain audit-ready documentation for due diligence requests, inspections, and audits.
- Contribute to employee awareness activities, such as communications, training coordination, and guidance materials.
- Support incident and crisis management activities, focusing on minimising customer impact and restoring critical services quickly.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Understand the Business Resiliency lifecycle, including planning, maintenance, testing, remediation, and continuous improvement.
- Bring experience within Financial Services, ideally with knowledge of consumer or retail banking products, channels, and relevant markets.
- Manage an independent workload to deadlines, demonstrating accountability for deliverables and attention to detail.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, producing effective documentation and engaging with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Possess knowledge of consumer banking business, operating models, and key customer-facing processes and channels such as digital/mobile banking, payments, deposits, and customer servicing.
- Have prior experience in a Risk & Controls, Business Management, Operational Controls, or similar control-related role, with an understanding of risk and controls fundamentals.
- Demonstrate strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, influencing through guidance, challenge, and follow-through.
- Show diligence, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines, prioritising competing requests and managing expectations.
