We are now looking for a Business Resilience Manager, Risk Management to join the UPM Risk Management team. This is a global specialist role focused on strengthening UPM’s ability to withstand disruption, respond effectively to incidents and recover critical operations within agreed expectations.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain UPM’s business continuity and resilience framework across Business Areas, Global Functions and selected sites.

  • Develop Business Impact Analysis practices and define recovery objectives, requirements and priorities.

  • Support the development of practical continuity and recovery arrangements, considering key operational, IT, OT, supplier and logistics dependencies.

  • Design and facilitate resilience and crisis management exercises and scenario-based tests.

  • Play a leading role in the development and implementation of UPM’s Loss Prevention program, supporting sites and businesses in identifying vulnerabilities, reducing loss exposures and improving operational resilience

  • Capture lessons learned and drive improvement actions.

  • Develop resilience KPIs and maturity reporting to provide visibility into readiness and key gaps.

  • Support regulatory and assurance requirements, including NIS2 and CER where applicable, and promote continuous improvement in resilience practices.

Who you are

  • You have a Master’s degree or another relevant university degree.

  • You have several years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience, crisis or risk management, operations, technology recovery, security, sourcing resilience or a similar field.

  • You understand Business Impact Analysis, recovery objectives, continuity planning and key operational, IT, OT and supplier dependencies.

  • You have experience in an industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, technology or another complex operational environment.

  • You are comfortable facilitating workshops and exercises with senior, operational and technical stakeholders.

  • You take a pragmatic and structured approach, challenge assumptions constructively and turn identified gaps into practical actions.

  • You have strong project management, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Familiarity with ISO 22301, NIS2, CER, disaster recovery or crisis management practices is an advantage.

  • You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing, and are willing to travel when needed.

This position is located in Helsinki, Finland. 

The position holder will report to the Director, Risk Management.

Skills Required

  • Master's degree or another relevant university degree
