Key purpose of the role:

This role will support the resilience uplift of Derivative Clearing Services to ensure critical business services are operating securely and reliably in all circumstances. The role will collaborate with business, risk and operations leaders and subject matter experts across Markets, Technology, Clearing Risk and other divisions as required.

Your Team

This role exists in the Markets division to strengthen ASX’s ability to maintain critical business services by implementing and operationalising business, operational and technology resilience uplift strategies and capabilities across Derivatives Clearing Services.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the resilience uplift strategy and execute resilience activities.
  • Plan and execute the development of Derivatives Clearing Services scenario libraries and incident response playbooks.
  • Lead delivery of resilience framework requirements, ensuring all mandated resilience activities are completed on time.
  • Support resilience priorities including fire drills, workshops and assessments.

Your deliverables

  • Deliver on Derivatives Clearing Services resilience uplift strategy.
  • Deliver on enterprise resilience framework requirements
  • Work with SMEs to build scenario libraries and develop recovery strategies to respond to severe but plausible scenarios.
  • Support the identification and ongoing assessment of critical operations and the operationalisation of activities under the critical operations framework.

Your experience and qualifications

Must have

  • Proven track record with 4-5 years' experience in developing and maintaining critical operation resilience capabilities in financial services, preferably within financial markets.
  • Proficient in developing scenario libraries and incident playbooks.
  • Demonstrated experience executing business resilience initiatives in accordance with organisational framework requirements.
  • Experience in financial markets including operations and technology.
  • Proficiency in scenario planning, risk assessment and management.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills (written & verbal) to collaborate across business, operations and technology.
  • Record of leading and planning complex projects and programs of work.
  • Analytical and structured thinking; the ability to approach problems methodically and deliver a tailed approach to uplift the Markets resilience posture.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of derivatives clearing from front, middle and back-office perspective including operations and technology.
  • Understanding of relevant standards for example, RBA FSS, APRA CPS 230, ASIC Market Integrity Rules and relevant ISO standards.
  • Experience in designing and running resilience simulations and incident response exercises.
  • Knowledge of ASX products, technology and stakeholders.
