Finance POET – Lead Analyst, HIH

Position Summary:
The Finance Process Optimization through the Enablement of Technology (POET) Lead Analyst will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and supporting process improvement and re-engineering opportunities. This role involves supporting the team’s engagement with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand and document their existing operating model, processes, reporting, data and technology, identifying pain points and opportunities. The candidate will then document and manage the inventory, prioritize use cases, analyze existing data and reports, and work with partners (e.g. subject matter experts, technology partners, other workstream teams) to support business delivery. Delivery would include adoption and change management and support solutioning through various technology channels.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Lead Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engage with POET team members and Finance business stakeholders to gather and document current state business processes, data and technology
- Identify pain points, inefficiencies and process re-engineering opportunities
- Develop and implement process maps, workflows, and documentation for redesigned processes
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable outcomes
- Analyze the business processes, data sources and reports, providing process improvement plans and/or input to solutioning teams
- Provide information from prior conversations and the inventory of opportunities to build business cases with problem statements, potential solutions, investment, value and ROI
- Aid in the development of training and change management plans, driving adoption of the new process, data and/or technology solution
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in data and reporting solutions

Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 5-8 years of financial process and analytics work experience
- Experience in Healthcare is a plus
- Experience within various Finance and Accounting functions (e.g. Financial Planning & Analytics, P&L and/or balance sheet reporting)
- Experience with continuous improvement methodology (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus
- Experience in BI tools, reporting and data analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
