Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB), a global leader in employee benefits consulting and management and a business of Marsh is seeking an experienced Business Product Owner to lead and grow our dedicated team focused on the development and enhancement of our Health, Group Risk, Pensions, Group Life insurance technical solutions through our Health, Benefits, and Brokerage tools (HBB/Engage).

This is a leadership role where you will drive the future direction and market success of our critical business tools (HBB/Engage) that deliver insurance solutions to our clients and manage a team of 7 professionals (including 2 direct reports).

We will count on you to:

  • Define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and strategic direction, in collaboration with executive business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with market needs and client expectations.

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of MMB tools supporting health, group risk, and pensions group life insurance products.

  • Act as the primary business owner for the HBB tools, ensuring they deliver impactful insurance solutions and business outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including business leaders, global product owners, and technology partners to prioritise and deliver enhancements.

  • Oversee the translation of business requirements into actionable plans, ensuring quality delivery and adoption of the tools.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand evolving market demands and client needs.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance standards from a business perspective.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience managing teams and leading product or business functions within employee benefits, insurance, or related financial services.

  • Strong understanding of health, group risk, and pensions group life insurance products and market dynamics.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear product strategies and actionable plans.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

  • Experience working with MMB tools or similar insurance benefit platforms.

  • Knowledge of health and benefits market products, regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.

  • Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies.

  • Certification in Project Management (Agile, Prince2) or Six Sigma

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and product management software.
