The Position

The Global Business Process Owner (GBPO) for Record to Report is a leadership position within the RSS - Business Process Management Finance department. In this role, you report to the Head of Business Process Management Finance and serve as a vital member of the BPM Finance leadership team.

The GBPO Record to Report is accountable for the definition, implementation, continuous improvement, and governance of process and system solutions. The scope of this role covers key product areas including Financial Integrity, General Accounting, Period End Closing, Accounting Tax Integration, Cost Controlling Finance, and Intercompany Finance Non-Trade.

The Opportunity

To ensure the success and fluidity of our global financial operations, you will lead the end-to-end strategy for the Record to Report area:

  • Define the overall strategy and priorities for the R2R product area to ensure state-of-the-art process design meets customer needs.

  • Establish lean, standardized processes with maximum harmonization and compliance across divisions through global Guidelines and SOPs.

  • Deliver holistic solutions that integrate technology, analytics, and people development to ensure the end-to-end process is fit for purpose.

  • Influence senior stakeholders across RSS and various divisions to align on design principles and secure global business acceptance.

  • Lead and coach a global team of Business Process Managers, focusing on performance, talent development, and succession planning.

  • Integrate external market insights and best practices into the process strategy to ensure robust execution by global and local teams.

  • Drive an agile mindset across the organization while establishing clear metrics to monitor the health of the E2E process area.

Who You Are

We are looking for a strategic leader who combines deep financial expertise with the ability to navigate complex global environments:

  • Qualified Expert: You hold a Master’s degree in Business or Finance and bring at least 10 years of experience in financial accounting and process optimization.

  • Visionary Leader: You possess excellent management skills with a proven track record of leading multicultural teams in matrix structures.

  • Strategic Influencer: You have the proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and navigate complex change and conflict management scenarios.

  • Technical Specialist: You have strong competencies in IFRS accounting and SAP system knowledge, preferably with relevant certifications.

  • Process Focused: You have a broad process overview and the ability to align high-level strategy with detailed transactional finance processes.
