Role Overview:
Business Process Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our end-user data. Using an external business intelligence provider, the analyst will manage the enrichment and cleansing processes for our data, ensuring high-quality outcomes. This role requires hands-on management of existing processes, including manual data matching, as well as the initiative to enhance processes for improved efficiency and higher matching rates. Additionally, the analyst will support the organization by responding to ad hoc data requests using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
Key Responsibilities

  • Data Enrichment and Cleansing:


Oversee the enrichment and cleansing of end-user data by working closely with an external business intelligence provider.
Perform manual data matching where necessary to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Develop and implement improvements to the existing enrichment and cleansing process to increase matching rates and overall data quality.

  • Process Improvement:


Identify inefficiencies in the current data workflows and propose automation or enhancements to streamline operations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to test and deploy process improvements.

  • Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis:


Respond to data-related requests from various teams across the organization.
Create insightful reports and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel to present findings and support decision-making.

  • Data Governance and Compliance:


Ensure that all data processes comply with organizational data governance policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Maintain accurate documentation of processes, workflows, and best practices.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:


Work closely with internal teams, including data engineering, business intelligence, and operations, to address data challenges.
Act as a liaison between the organization and the external business intelligence provider to manage expectations and deliverables.
Key Skills and Experience
Essential:

  • Proven experience in data quality, data management, or related roles.


  • Strong skills in data manipulation and analysis tools, particularly Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.


  • Proficiency in manual data matching processes with a keen eye for detail.


  • Familiarity with data cleansing and enrichment workflows, including working with external data providers.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.


  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate between internal teams and external partners.


Desirable:

  • Experience with SQL or other database query languages.


  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.


  • Understanding of business intelligence tools and their application in creating actionable insights.


  • Experience in automating or streamlining data workflows using tools like Python or R (not essential but a plus).
