Position Overview:  

The Business Process Analyst supports cross-functional process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service quality across the Operations organization. This position partners with Operations leadership by identifying opportunities, analyzing business processes, recommending solutions, and supporting implementation efforts that improve organizational performance. This role supports operational improvements through business process analysis, data-driven decision making, documentation governance, and project leadership. The position assists in identifying improvement opportunities, develops recommendations, supports multiple initiatives simultaneously, and partners with leaders across the organization to ensure sustainable operational improvements. Success in this role requires strong analytical abilities, project management skills, executive communication, stakeholder influence, and the ability to translate complex operational challenges into practical business solutions. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Supports Operations leadership by identifying opportunities and assisting in implementation of best practices and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Analyze operational data; develop actionable insights and present recommendations to leadership to improve operational performance and business outcomes. 
  • Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements across various departments  
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of operational workflows, business systems, and organizational processes. 
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and operational standards. 
  • Partner with Information Technology and business stakeholders to translate technical requirements into operational solutions and user-friendly documentation. 
  • Maintain documentation standards and ensure process documentation remains accurate, current, and aligned with the company’s objectives. 
  • Review processes and documentation to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. 
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and organizational deadlines. 
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to evaluate operational effectiveness and measure the success of improvement initiatives. 
  • Analyze complex datasets data from multiple business systems to identify trends, operational risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field) 
  • 2-4 years of experience in business process improvement, operations, business analysis, project management, technical documentation, or related experience. 
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with or the ability to grow into Power BI is highly preferred 
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to understand and accurately translate technical information for a general audience 
  • Proficient use of relevant software: Microsoft Office Suite, flowchart diagramming software such as Microsoft Visio, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. 
  • Ability to work independently and remain motivated without clear direction 
  • Proven ability to effectively listen to and collaborate with others 

Salary Range (Chattanooga, TN): $65,000.00-$80,000.00 

Annual Bonus Potential: 5%

 

 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed, education, experience, travel requirements for the job, and/or other business and organizational needs.
