Do you enjoy taking something complicated and making it work better? Connectivity Solutions is a 19-person technical consulting team, and we are looking for an experienced operations professional who can build practical systems, improve visibility, strengthen accountability, and help important priorities move forward.
The Business Operations Lead will work directly with the Department Manager to improve how the team operates. This is not a traditional administrative role. The person in this role will build and improve processes, workflows, dashboards, reporting, resource-planning tools, and operating routines rather than simply maintain systems created by others.
Connectivity Solutions delivers enterprise network engineering, high-density Wi-Fi, private LTE/5G, and mission-critical DAS solutions. You do not need to be an engineer or telecommunications expert to succeed in this role. We are looking for a strong operations professional who can learn the business, ask effective questions, and turn loosely defined needs into practical solutions.
This role is a strong fit for someone who naturally brings order to complexity, enjoys working with busy professionals, and takes satisfaction in creating better ways of working.
How We Work at MSBSuccess at MSB is measured by both results and how we achieve them. Our Core Values are Lead with Energy, Trust is the Foundation, Own It-Deliver It, Stronger Together, and Enjoy the Journey.
What You'll DoYou will help build the operating foundation that allows a remote technical team to work with greater clarity, consistency, and follow-through.
Build Better Operating SystemsDesign and continuously improve practical workflows, calendars, meeting rhythms, action tracking, and supporting tools that create structure and make commitments visible.
Keep Priorities & Communication MovingTrack department priorities, milestones, owners, and next actions; prepare concise progress updates; and help turn leadership decisions into clear, useful communications.
Support People & Development ProcessesCoordinate recurring performance-review, goal setting, training, certification, mentoring, and employee-development processes while managers retain responsibility for coaching, evaluation, and personnel decisions.
Improve Resource VisibilityMaintain useful resource-planning information by bringing together project timing, staffing demand, availability, planned leave, utilization risks, and open needs so leadership can make informed decisions.
Create Useful Measures & ReportingBuild dashboards, scorecards, reports, and other practical tools that help leaders understand whether key routines, commitments, and initiatives are working as intended.
Improve How Work Gets DoneIdentify recurring obstacles or inefficient processes, recommend practical improvements, and explore responsible uses of technology, automation, and AI to improve efficiency and execution.
A Role with InfluenceThis is a lead-level individual-contributor role with meaningful influence over how the department operates. You will work closely with the Department Manager and collaborate across HR, Finance, Marketing, Project Controls, and other teams to turn priorities into organized action and improve operating processes.
You will not be expected to make staffing, compensation, employee-performance, technical/project, budget, or client decisions. Instead, your value comes from creating visibility, building reliable processes, facilitating execution, and helping leaders and team members follow through.
What We're Looking For· 5+ years of relevant experience in business operations, program/project coordination, PMO support, workforce/resource planning, professional-services administration, or a related field.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant experience will be considered.
· Strong organization, communication, business judgment, and follow-through, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across teams.
· Experience improving processes and building practical workflows, dashboards, KPIs, reports, tracking systems, or other tools that improve visibility and execution.
· Strong Microsoft 365 skills, especially Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and comfort learning business systems and new technology.
· Ability to work independently, solve loosely defined problems, influence without direct authority, and turn management needs into practical, repeatable processes.
· Experience in professional services, consulting, construction, technology, telecommunications, or another project-based/client-service environment is helpful but not required.
· Experience with resource planning, utilization, ERP/business systems, dashboards/reporting, or AI-enabled workflows is a plus.
Who Will Thrive HereThe strongest candidates will be people who naturally:
· Take ownership, follow through, and keep commitments from getting lost.
· See an inefficient or unclear process and start thinking about how to improve it.
· Learn unfamiliar systems, terminology, and business concepts quickly and make progress without perfect instructions.
· Build trust with busy professionals, communicate clearly, and respectfully reinforce accountability.
· Use information, measures, and practical tools to make work easier to understand and manage.
Reports directly to the Connectivity Solutions Department Manager and is dedicated to the 19-person Connectivity Solutions team. This is an individual-contributor role without direct supervisory responsibility, but it will have significant visibility and influence across department operating processes.
What Success Looks LikeSuccess will be visible in the systems, clarity, and consistency the role creates. A successful Business Operations Lead:
· Establishes operating routines and practical tools that leaders and employees consistently use.
· Improves visibility and follow-through on department priorities, commitments, and resource needs.
· Creates clearer, more useful reporting and measures that support leadership decisions.
· Improves recurring people, communication, and planning processes without adding unnecessary administrative burden.
Strong performance can create a path toward broader operations or program leadership responsibility while allowing the role to continue moving from recurring coordination toward higher-value operational improvement.
