Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to our hubs in San Francisco and Austin, which is now home to our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

Please note, while we offer a flexible working environment, we are only accepting applications from San Francisco, or candidates open to relocating to this location.

The Print Group’s mission is to win the hearts and minds of small businesses by bringing their creative ideas to life through high-quality, affordable printing. We design experiences that make it simple for anyone, anywhere, to create, customise, and print beautiful designs. Our teams work across every part of the user journey - from discovery and design to fulfilment and delivery - collaborating globally with operations, logistics, and platform teams to deliver exceptional results.

About the Role

As a Business Ops and Strategy Lead, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing Canva Print’s strategies across the business - owning ideas from initial conception to execution. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Print team to shape the strategic direction and performance of key business areas for Canva Print.

What you’ll do

  • Identify structural opportunities to improve how Print Operations works, through better processes, systems, and automation
  • Lead large cross-functional initiatives, partnering across Operations, Product, GTM, Engineering, Data, Finance, etc.
  • Roll up your sleeves and fill gaps — from strategic problems to day-to-day operational fires across Print Operations
  • Identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, execute in-depth analyses and make recommendations to shape our roadmap
  • Support strategic planning, capacity planning, and performance management for Print
  • Own the metrics that matter most — know how they're trending and surface the insights that drive them
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to make sure we're using data thoughtfully and correctly
  • Build scalable operational processes and close gaps before they become blockers

What we're looking for:

  • 7-8 years of relevant work experience in an analytical and strategic role across analytics, consulting, product, business operations, or finance
  • Minimum 2 years in a high growth company
  • You are a strategic problem solver. You can break down ambiguous problems and apply a first principles approach to solving them
  • You're operationally minded - you can take a strategic vision and translate it into real processes and systems
  • You are highly analytical and metrics-driven. You can execute complex analyses, define KPIs, size opportunity areas, and clearly visualize and communicate performance
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (+ SQL preferred)
  • You are a strong communicator. You can crisply communicate complex topics to all audiences
  • You have strong product and business intuition
  • You're scrappy and resourceful - you find a way to get things done
  • You learn fast - you have the curiosity and intellectual horsepower to pick up new domains quickly
