About the role:
Are you eager to gain a holistic commercial foundation in subscription business dynamics, sales performance analysis, and commercial controlling—directly from seasoned experts? This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop those skills outside of a traditional Finance role.
You'll be reporting to a Senior Business Operations Manager and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support decision-making and performance optimization.
This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Prague.
The role is centered around trading performance and focuses on three key areas:
1. Customer churn funnel analysis, including deep dives into retention KPIs and behavioral dynamics.
2. Trend and driver analysis to understand how key variables impact both customer satisfaction and revenue outcomes.
3. Commercial performance management, using real-time data to monitor, interpret, and respond to changes in business performance to help meet strategic objectives.
What you will do in this roleAnalyze the customer retention funnel and monitor Retention KPIs across different lifecycle stages (e.g., renewals, opt-outs, returns) to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct deep-dive analyses into factors influencing churn and customer satisfaction, creating actionable insights for business and product teams.
Support the development of driver-based models that quantify the impact of key inputs (e.g., pricing, product mix, geo mix, tenure) on revenue and customer behavior.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc performance reports, highlighting key trends and deviations from targets.
Collaborate with business owners to interpret results and recommend actions in response to shifting performance metrics.
Contribute to business reviews by summarizing key insights, performance updates, and proposed optimizations.
Technical Skills (Must-Have & Nice-to-Have)
Advanced MS Excel skills are a must — including functions such as LOOKUP, FILTER, SUMIF(S), OFFSET, INDEX, MATCH, PivotTables, and charting.
Foundational knowledge of statistics is a plus— familiarity with methods like ANOVA, t-tests, correlation analysis, and regression modeling.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau) is a plus.
Working knowledge of SQL is a plus — especially for data extraction and exploration.
Proactive and self-directed — comfortable designing your own approach in a fast-paced, discovery-driven environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills — ability to work effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
High attention to detail — accuracy and precision in analysis are essential.
A natural team player with a willingness to learn and contribute.
