This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

The Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day administrative functions within our medical record retrieval operations. While primarily administrative, this role includes occasional light phone work and requires individuals who are organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Because this position handles protected health information (PHI), candidates must have a secure, private workspace and the ability to remain self motivated and productive without direct supervision. Daily responsibilities may vary based on evolving business needs.
This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm local time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer paid on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform image quality assurance (QA) and ensure accurate delivery of processed files electronically
  • Conduct chart investigation to resolve discrepancies and ensure document completeness electronically
  • Support ancillary operational tasks that contribute to the success of the business
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, productivity, and confidentiality
  • Contribute to a performance driven environment that provides clear expectations and opportunities for growth

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Administrative work experience
  • Reliable home internet with a strong, stable connection
  • A private, distraction free workspace that prevents PHI from being visible to others
  • Ability to stay organized, focused, and productive in a remote setting
  • Experience in medical record collection
  • Background in working with provider groups, health information management, OR claims processing
  • Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work any of our full time, 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm local time from Monday - Friday

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 - $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
