We’re hiring a Business Operations Analyst with a background in law, consulting, or finance to support the operational and compliance foundation of SemiAnalysis. This role is well-suited for candidates who have experience in legal environments (e.g., paralegal work, legal research, law school exposure, or LSAT-track candidates) and are looking to apply that rigor in a broader business context.
You will work across finance, legal coordination, and internal operations—helping manage contracts, compliance processes, vendor relationships, and internal systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple stakeholders.
This is a full-time role based in the United States.
ResponsibilitiesLegal & Contract Coordination: Support the review, organization, and tracking of contracts, agreements, and vendor documentation; coordinate with external counsel as needed.
Compliance & Corporate Administration: Track regulatory filings, state registrations, and corporate obligations across entities; ensure documentation is complete, organized, and up to date.
Operational Support: Assist in managing day-to-day business operations across finance, HR, and administrative workflows.
Financial & Vendor Operations: Support invoice processing, vendor onboarding, expense tracking, and coordination with accounting and payroll providers.
Process Design & Documentation: Create and maintain SOPs, internal policies, and structured workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
Cross-Functional Projects: Support initiatives across recruiting, finance, consulting, and research operations.
Data & Reporting: Maintain internal trackers and dashboards for contracts, compliance deadlines, and operational metrics.
1–2 years of experience in legal, consulting, finance, or business operations roles.
Background in law or legal-adjacent work (e.g., paralegal experience, legal internships, law school coursework, or LSAT track) is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Political Science, Pre-Law, or a related field.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage structured processes with high accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple deadlines and workflows.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
High ownership mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
Experience working with contracts, compliance workflows, or legal documentation.
Familiarity with corporate filings, entity management, or regulatory requirements.
Exposure to financial operations such as budgeting, expense tracking, or vendor payments.
Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
Deepen expertise in corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and multi-entity operations across jurisdictions.
Expand capabilities in contract lifecycle management, including negotiation support, risk identification, and legal process optimization.
Develop stronger financial operations knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, and vendor cost management.
Build proficiency in operational systems, automation, and data tracking to improve workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Gain exposure to strategic business operations, supporting leadership in decision-making across finance, legal, and organizational scaling.
Progress toward ownership of end-to-end operational functions, with opportunities to lead process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.
