Spend the next six months with the Live & Luxury Business Strategy team, working on high-impact projects that shape Dow Jones’ global events portfolio across WSJ, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Risk & Research, OPIS, World ECR, and IBD. You’ll gain hands-on experience in market and competitive analysis, AI integration projects, and organizational planning, contributing directly to the strategic growth and operational efficiency of one of the most dynamic parts of the company.

Our ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and proactive — someone who enjoys research, loves working with data, and can juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate interested in strategy, media, business operations, and AI, and who is looking to build a strong foundation in business analysis and project management.

This is a 6-month temporary position.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks for the Live & Luxury events portfolio.

  • Support AI integration initiatives, helping test, document, and roll out new tools to improve workflows and insights.

  • Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, translating data into actionable insights.

  • Help manage project plans and timelines for strategic initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule.

  • Gather, organize, and analyze internal and external data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Events to gather inputs and share findings.

  • Assist with organizational design projects, process mapping, and documentation to improve team efficiency.
     

  • Monitor and maintain key competitive intelligence trackers in the lead-up to the new fiscal year.
     

  • Provide ad hoc support on strategic priorities as they arise.
     

Requirements
  • NYC-area based
     

  • Recent college graduate or equivalent experience with a strong interest in business strategy, research, and analysis.
     

  • Comfort working with data, research tools, and  AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, data analytics platforms). 

 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
     

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
     

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
     

  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
     

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Figma, and data visualization tools is a plus.

Pay Range: 27.47 - 35.71
