Job Summary:

The Business Operations Administrator serves as a key operational partner responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration and growth of the business. This role oversees a broad range of business functions, including commissions administration, agent contracting, compliance support, reporting, onboarding, technology coordination, and special projects. The position exercises independent judgment in managing operational processes, resolving issues, recommending improvements, and supporting strategic business objectives. Working closely with the Senior Vice President of Operations, this individual serves as a trusted resource to leadership and plays a critical role in ensuring operational continuity, efficiency, and exceptional support to agents and business partners.
Essential Responsibilities
Operations & Business Support
• Support daily business operations and administrative functions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Serve as a trusted partner to leadership on operational initiatives and special projects.
• Assist with documenting workflows, procedures, and business processes.
Commissions & Contracting
• Administer commission processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate agent contracting and appointment activities.
• Maintain accurate contracting and commission records.
• Serve as a liaison between agents, carriers, and internal teams.
Compliance & Reporting
• Support compliance activities, audits, and documentation requirements.
• Ensure operational processes align with company and carrier guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain operational, sales, contracting, and commission reports.
• Analyze business data and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Onboarding & Agent Support
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees and independent agents.
• Assist with licensing, contracting, technology access, and training resources.
• Serve as a primary resource for agent operational support and inquiries.
Technology & Special Projects
• Support business systems, technology initiatives, and process automation efforts.
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and user adoption.
• Lead or participate in special projects that support strategic business objectives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in operations, contracting, commissions, compliance, agency administration, or a related business function.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
