About the Team/Role
In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for our operational ecosystems and primary strategic liaison between Operations, Product, Technology and Finance. This position combines strong business process knowledge with technical systems expertise to drive operational scalability, reduce manual effort, improve controls, and ensure configuration accuracy across interconnected platforms. Operating with high autonomy, you will navigate complex, ambiguous "gray areas" to ensure the accurate execution of financial and operational processes. By taking independent ownership of system-based workflows, you will proactively isolate systemic risks before they impact customers or financial outcomes, enabling operational leadership to remain focused on overarching business results.
How you'll make an impact
Systems Governance & Mapping: Maintain a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of complex transaction and data flows across enterprise platforms.
Platform & Process Governance: Analyze, design, implement, and govern system-based workflows and process solutions supporting billing, pricing administration, tax administration, merchant configuration, customer entitlements, settlement processing, and financial reconciliation activities.
System Controls & Risk Mitigation: Develop, implement, and monitor robust data controls to maximize configuration accuracy across integrated, interconnected platforms. Identify system gaps and logic discrepancies before they manifest as customer or financial defects.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the end-to-end operational system ecosystem. Translate intricate operational and contractual requirements into technical specifications, and represent the operations function in cross-functional solution design discussions.
Root Cause Analysis & Issue Resolution: Investigate "non-standard," high-pressure operational errors involving multiple overlapping systems and data sources. Lead comprehensive root cause analysis efforts and coordinate cross-functional corrective action plans.
Data & Configuration Integrity: Partner closely with business stakeholders to audit and ensure that complex system configurations strictly align with contractual obligations, pricing structures, and regulatory tax requirements.
Process Automation: Identify operational bottlenecks and eliminate high-risk manual workarounds by partnering with product and engineering teams to prioritize system enhancements and automated reconciliation tools.
Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of system enhancements, process automations, and risk mitigation efforts.
Change Enablement: Lead change management initiatives to ensure seamless adoption of new system processes and workflow improvements across affected business units.
Experience you'll bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of related work experience leading system implementations, technical business analysis, or financial systems initiatives within a corporate environment.
Technical Logic: Demonstrated ability to deeply analyze complex system architectures, transactional data flows, and integrations.
Problem Solving: Proven track record of handling "non-standard" or high-pressure situations, navigating ambiguous data environments, and performing multi-system root cause analysis.
Autonomy: Demonstrated capability to operate with minimal supervision ("management by exception"), reviewing work primarily against results and overall department goals.
Domain Expertise: Direct experience supporting enterprise billing systems, complex pricing administration, tax compliance platforms, or financial reconciliation architectures.
Enterprise Navigation: Extensive experience collaborating with internal networks across matrixed corporate structures (Product, Engineering, Corporate Finance, Risk and Operations).
Tools & AI Competency: Comfort leveraging analytical and diagnostic tools to synthesize multi-source data for pattern recognition.
