The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Business Office Supervisor to join our team! Business Office Supervisor ensures that financial data and authorizations are tracked efficiently at the site, maintains communications with all site staff regarding financial/authorization status, ensures accuracy of data entry and maintains all front office functions including claims payment, denials and accurate audits. The supervisor oversees the staff assigned to various business office duties in our department. The supervisor will further assist in the Credentialing Department doing background checks, processing credentials of licensed staff, and other duties as assigned throughout the Authority Department. Supervises designated Business Office staff and functionalities. Works independently and must demonstrate good judgment and organizational skills.

 

Your role in action:

·         Supervises work performance according to organizational/departmental procedures.

·         Collect, verifies, enters, monitors, and report data related to services billed. As well as maintains regular audits for accuracy.

·         Communicates financial eligibility and other pertinent information to unit staff as needed.

·         Completes audits on staff performance and standards compliance according to organizational/departmental procedures.

·         Schedules all appointments for consumers according to organizational/departmental procedures.

·         Maintains professional behavior and provide excellent customer service to both staff and consumers.

·         Demonstrate ethical conduct, professionalism, and confidentiality in all activities. Complies with Agency policy and procedures.

·         Attend required Agency meetings as scheduled.

·         Complete and send accurate reports as assigned within specified timeframes.

·         Ensures completion of all forms/documentation.

·         Notifies management or designee of any on-going problems or noted areas of concern.

·         Track, review, and verify billing statements to consumers for private pay balances.

·         Provide or coordinate training for Business Office staff.

·         Communicates to inside\outside provides and coordinates collection of materials to credential or make eligible to be a provider in our network as well as assists in tracking all requirements of those providers to be compliant.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned. Adapts to changing working requirement

 

What qualifications you need:

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma

 

Experience:

·         Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue management setting/ healthcare environment.

·         Prior supervisory or managerial experience preferred.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·         The person must have well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and be a team player with a desire to provide a high level of customer service.

·         Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively at all levels within the Agency.

·         Strong leadership skills with the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of all work-related matters with the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully within all levels of the Agency.

·         Must have strong computer skills including use and maintenance of electronic mail and excel. Proficient with typing and requires excellent organizational and time management skills.
