The Role

Meadowview of Johnston, a Cassia senior community in Johnston, Iowa, is hiring a Business Office Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the business office functions including processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, managing benefit enrollments and basic HR support.  
As we open to new residents, you will be an important part of the leadership team and will be hands on with many functions that not only relate to this position.  Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is good at jumping in to solve many issues throughout the building. We are looking for a candidate is a strong leader with excellent customer service and time management skills.

Business Office Manager responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll and make corrections to employee time cards when needed.
  • Conduct HR portion of New Hire Orientation and Process new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinate benefits and process enrollments, changes, and terminations for all benefit plans in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work with staff and managers to administer HR policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, pay policies).
  • Work with and assist home office billing staff in all aspects of resident billing, payments, and account questions.
  • Manage the revenue cycle of the business office and serve as the go-to person for billing processes. Process bank deposits.
  • Work with Home Office Benefits team as site contact during benefits annual open enrollment. 
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Business Office Manager skills and requirements:
  • Payroll experience required; Kronos or Workforce Dimensions experience a plus!
  • Basic Human Resources experience a plus.
  • Knowledge and previous experience with employee benefits required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical abilities and computer skills.
  • Positive communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.
