POSITION SUMMARY:
The business office manager position directs the overall administrative, billing, and bookkeeping, according to State and Federal guidelines and regulations. Good interpersonal skills needed to work with residents, families, and outside agencies effectively. Must be organized with attention to detail, prioritize appropriately, and meet deadlines. Must work efficiently with frequent interruptions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one (1) year of experience billing Medicaid requirements.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry required
  • Typing Skills of 40 wpm or more
  • Point Click Care, RFMS, Simple LTC experience a plus

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and reconcile Resident Trust Fund accounts
  • Track all resident Medicaid applications and research pending Medicaid accounts
  • Responsible for ongoing review of outstanding balances and determining what steps to take to collect balances
  • Monitor, track, and process collections.
  • Open facility mail and distribute mail to the appropriate department and or corporate office billing department.
  • Deposit A/R and Trust Fund as needed
  • Process admission paperwork for residents as needed
  • Request refunds timely as needed
  • Assist the EDO with Accounts Payable as needed
  • Complete and send in occupancy and death report at the end of the month
  • Actively participate in Triple Check meetings on a weekly basis
  • Actively participate in the URL meetings weekly.
  • Interact and communicate with residents and family members in a professional and friendly manner
  • Other duties as assigned

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

As assigned, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays; non-exempt position
