Our business office keeps the facility running smoothly, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Business Office Manager to join the team.


About the Role

As Assistant Business Office Manager, you'll support the Business Office Manager with billing, collections and daily office operations. You'll work closely with residents, families and insurance payers to keep accounts accurate and resolve billing questions. This is a great fit for someone with healthcare billing or accounts receivable experience who wants to grow into a business office leadership role.


What You'll Do

  • Assist with billing and collections for resident accounts, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care and private pay
  • Post payments and reconcile resident accounts accurately
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and denied or unpaid claims
  • Respond to billing inquiries from residents, families and insurance companies with professionalism and care
  • Maintain accurate billing records and financial documentation
  • Support the Business Office Manager with day-to-day operations and cover the office in their absence
  • Help ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and facility policies

What You Bring

  • 1+ year of experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable or a similar role
  • Healthcare, skilled nursing or long-term care billing experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medi-Cal and insurance billing is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
