JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Office Assistant supports the Business Office Manager with essential business office duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accounts Payable:
- Ensure all invoices and accruals are processed accurately and timely per P&P.
- Serve as liaison between Home Office Accountants and Center Department Managers.
- Maintain knowledge of accounts payable system; attend training as required.
General:
- Attend meetings, workshops and seminars as deemed necessary or as requested and approved.
- Maintain and gain thorough knowledge of policies and procedures related to position and business office functions.
- Support and provide backup to business office staff.
- Promote and demonstrate a Service Excellence culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- One year of accounts payable experience.
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Must be proficient in use of computers, Microsoft Excel and other computer-based programs as well as 10-key.
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
