BUSINESS MATCHING ASSISTANT
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is Hong Kong’s statutory body for promoting Hong Kong’s trade with the world. Its Paris Office is inviting applications for the following position:
Key Responsibilities:
Update and enrich the Customer Database, develop new contacts, with the objective of developing TDC trade fairs and events.
Implement General Data Protection Regulation in the maintenance and development of the Customer Data Base.
Handle trade enquiries from companies in the industrial sectors under his responsibility.
Translate and elaborate marketing document, cover letter, registration form, e-DM document for exhibitor and visitor promotion of trade events.
Supervise the telemarketing exercises for promotion of trade fairs in goods and services sectors. Supply attendance reports and compile buying missions.
Develop contacts with potential exhibitors and promote HKTDC trade fairs
Together with both the Business Matching Team and the Marketing Team, hold HKTDC stand at local trade fairs as well as solo organized events, to promote the full array of HKTDC services.
Visit local trade fairs, organise Market Visits and attend relevant events in view of developing and enhancing the Database and develop new contacts and/or strengthen existing contacts.
Keep informed of the latest developments in my industrial sectors through publications and newsletter as well as visiting local trade fairs. Develop professional efficiency and new skills through relevant training.
Contribute to the work of both Marketing Team and Business Matching team so that the targets are met. Assist also when necessary, in other departments of Paris Office.
Job Requirements:
A recognised university degree with a minimum of 3 years' solid working experience preferably with sizable organization, in sourcing & procurement, project management, event organization, sales & marketing operations, customer services
Experience and knowledge in database management will be a plus
Strong interests and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies
Strong attention to details with business sense, analytical mind in understanding matching requirements
Well organized and meticulous with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight project timeline
A good team player, customer-oriented with good interpersonal skills and a pleasant, outgoing personality
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Proficiency in French
Proficient in MS applications (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Remuneration and Benefits
