How you’ll help us make health happen
People – Assist technology directors develop their staffing strategy (including operating model transformations (shift to product-centric operating model), (in partnership with our People (HR) team) sourcing model changes, adoption of a new professions model, upskilling plans / L&D activities, designing and embedding new ways of working, (adoption of product-centric design as a delivery method throughout the organisation) as well as ongoing colleague engagement and culture. Focus will be on building a sustainable forecast process allowing for financial management of this complex change agenda
Cost Management – Drive robust cost management across the pillars, providing leadership with visibility of the total costs incurred to run the pillars and where those costs are accounted for, leveraging existing cost management processes (project spend, maintenance spend, run spend) and championing amendments to BAU cost management processes to provide greater transparency, accountability, and financial acumen in managing the costs.
Data: Provide/utilise data and systems analysis to Define metrics to monitor and report the efficacy and efficiency of the workforce, platforms and products. Develop analytical models to generate actionable insights, identify trends, and support strategic planning. Champion the use of data to validate hypotheses and guide the evolution of the product-centric operating model.
Commercial Management: Support the commercial leadership of the function with a focus on cost to serve, financial planning and management, vendor cost management as well as supporting the building of effective and transparent cost allocation methodologies for shared platforms and internal /functions’ products as we shift to a reuse model and FinOps. Support business case development and management (including benefits), in partnership with the finance teams. Help the development of meaningful reporting to optimise the cost base through rationalisation, Fin Ops and effective software asset management and vendor / contract oversight.
Operational and digital experience insights: Drive a culture of measurement and actionable, data-driven decision making across the function to improve the products and services we provide. Support the design, delivery and provision of insights of the operational performance and user experience of our function, (in conjunction with the product and platform teams). Provide reporting on XLA’s, SLA’s and OLA’s (both internal and external), to inform and perform
Strategy, performance and communications – Support the ongoing generation, presentation, storytelling and communications of the platforms/internal products’ strategy, performance and progress in conjunction with the Market-Unit-wide communications and Tech Office teams. This includes supporting townhalls, reporting to Business Performance Committees as well as input to broader technology and transformation communications updates. Key to the success of this transformation will be bringing to life the enormous benefits of the shift both to platforms and a product operating model and helpful to qualify and quantify the benefits through storytelling that can be understood by our business and technology stakeholders
PMO: Perform lightweight PMO oversight of projects or other initiatives governed by the central Transformation office, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives as well as change processes. This includes monitoring project progress, managing dependencies, and providing regular status updates to senior leadership.

- Demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role
- Commercial judgement: The ability to understand business and deliver the business performance needed to achieve our purpose and goals
- Data management experience, inc. data analysis, Power BI, continuous improvement of data quality and standards
- Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent standard of written and presentation skills with high proficiency of working in Excel
- Experience of collaborating with senior business and technology leaders to achieve outcomes
- Strong influencing skills across stakeholders, colleagues and external vendors
