Finance & Insurance Manager/Business Manager 


POSITION SUMMARY 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the finance and insurance process for our marine products, ensuring seamless transactions and exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the sales team. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Sales Leadership & Management: 

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the boat sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Present and sell extended service contracts and protection products using a structured menu-selling system, emphasizing a feature-benefit-value approach. 
  • Foster a servant leadership culture, leading by example and promoting a team-oriented environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with the sales team to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s product knowledge and sales techniques.

Customer Experience: 

  • Uphold a customer-first philosophy, ensuring each client receives personalized and attentive service. 
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing transparent and ethical services.

Operational Excellence: 

  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utlilize available resources to proactively solve problems and improve processes.
  • Maintain a high level of detail orientation to ensure accuracy in all transactions. 

Documentation & Compliance: 

  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain organized records and manage contracts to guarantee timely funding.
  • Stay updated on legal requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance.

Technology & Resource Utilization: 

  • Leverage dealership management systems and F&I software to optimize operations.
  • Continuously seek and implement tools and resources to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS 

  • Proven experience as an F&I Manager or similar role in the marine, automotive, or recreational vehicle industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financing, insurance products, and compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with a sales team.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency. 
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to effectively sell ancillary products using a structured feature-benefit-value process.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required with adequate experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance and insurance management within a dealership environment
