Team / division overview

The Business Management team supporting the Investment Division will ensure the execution of activities from the wide range of Business Management tasks supporting investment strategies across Active, Passive, Trading & Liquid Real Assets).  The team manage a number of business management tasks including financial analysis, forecasting, management reporting, headcount reporting, independently managing various projects across the business and supporting governance process and control related tasks. As the business is a global team, working collaboratively with colleagues located in different regions.

Role Details

As a Business Manager for the Investment Division, you will be responsible for: 

• Project management and steering of projects as well as (change) initiatives

• Identification and implementation of process optimizations and innovations

• Performing and supervising Level 1-business-controls

• Point of contact and escalation for portfolio management and trading regarding control, processes, project initiatives, questions and issues in daily business

• Close collaboration with DWS senior management and all Investment Division-related businesses (e.g. Compliance, Audit, DCO, Operations, Finance, etc) as well as the Product Division and Client Coverage Division.

• Provide support for local, regional as well as global governance topics

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in business management/COO in the financial industry or comparable role/field

• Fundamental knowledge on financial instruments and investment management and trading rules is preferred

• Experiences in working on projects are beneficial

• Problem- solving skills and willingness to implement changes in daily business

• Strong communication skills as well as confident appearance combined with assertiveness (also in conflicting situations)

• High degree of initiative, commitment, goal orientation and flexibility

• Analytical and conceptual skills
