WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Business Line Compliance Analyst, you will be providing compliance advice, challenge, and oversight to the private side businesses of Santander CIB, particularly to Global Banking and GTB.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Provide compliance advice, challenge, and oversight to the private side businesses of Santander CIB, particularly to the Global Banking and Global Transaction Banking (“GTB”) desks which include businesses such as M&A, DCM, ECM, etc.
Interpret and articulate regulation, rules and regulatory documents as applicable to Santander CIB.
Help in the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of compliance risks and regulatory requirements.
Prepare visits or requests from regulators, audits and/or compliance reviews.
Support the wider Compliance team face-to-face or online training sessions to the business on compliance subjects.
EXPERIENCE
Previous internship or up to 1-3 years of experience in Compliance or financial regulation related roles, preferably within an investment bank or a consulting firm.
EDUCATION
A degree in fields such as Law, Business Administration or Economics.
Compliance certifications are desirable.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is a must.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (incl., Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of investment banking (M&A, capital markets, etc.) and transaction banking products is desirable.
Familiarity with regulations such as MiFID II and MAR is desirable.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (the candidate must feel comfortable working with different stakeholders).
Team oriented, curious and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
