Position Summary
The leader is responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, and market development for the illumina products in the Hong Kong markets. This includes oversight of regulatory and government affairs as well.
Position Responsibilities:
• Effectively managing key accounts relationships, including working directly with other functions such as business development, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality.
• Developing overall sub regional long-range and near-term strategic plans, including sales and marketing, and market development activities and plans.
• Providing sales forecasts and managing both top and bottom lines.
• Developing effective and pragmatic pricing strategy to support long-term market growth.
• Developing plans to support the commercial success of our partners.
• Continuously refining our commercial strategies in relation to changing market and competitive conditions.
• Working closely with global and GC teams to solicit internal support for the overall business.
• Managing sales channels and regional distributors by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
• Developing and managing KOL relationships in the fields.
• Working with finance to provide periodic sales reports including sales volume and lead management.
• Periodically reviewing and analyzing sales performances against sales and marketing programs to determine effectiveness.
• Developing the domain expertise for the commercial team.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring the direct TAM and/or sales channel partner sales business plan to meet assigned budget.
• Responsible for the recruitment, development, retention, and management of the district team.
• Managing, coaching, and motivating the assigned team to achieve territory and district sales objectives and goals.
• Coordinating and communicating sales & marketing activities and strategies effectively to supervisors.
• Ensuring that Illumina’s commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered, and constantly improved.
• Coordinating and/or supervising technical/sales/administrative training for the direct TAM sales team in conjunction with GC Sales Operations Manager.
• Ensuring that Illumina’s values are followed by all staff.
• Monitoring, assisting, setting standards, and evaluating the district team performance utilizing Illumina’s performance management tools.
• Establishing territory quotas and achieving the quarterly and annual sales and profit plan as assigned.
• Routinely forecasting, monitoring, and controlling selling and other expenses for the district within assigned expense budgets.
• Routinely and accurately forecasting customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments)
• Maintaining profit margins through effective sales negotiation.
• Ensuring Salesforce.com (SFDC) is completely utilized, updated, and compliant with company policies and practices.
• Ensuring a high level of liaison with other departments (e.g., Regional Marketing, Customer Solutions) and local sales team & staff to
ensure coordination of activities and understanding of common goals.

Position Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Biology or related fields desirable, MBA education is a plus.
• Basic understanding of NGS technology and market.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in the Life Science/Pharma industry, preferable experience in oncology product/ segment.
• Strong presentation & negotiation skills with Fluent English & Chinese.
