Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence
Specialist with strong expertise in data architecture, Power BI development,
and enterprise reporting solutions. This role combines strategic data
architecture responsibilities with hands-on development of business
intelligence solutions to support enterprise analytics and reporting needs.
This is an onsite position requiring attendance five days
per week.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture (Approximately 40%)
- Develop
Solution Architecture Documents.
- Create
Data Flow Diagrams.
- Design
Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models.
- Develop
Databricks Lakehouse architecture and design.
- Design
Power BI Semantic Models.
- Create
role models and security frameworks, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Develop
Data Governance Frameworks.
- Produce
Data Lineage Documentation.
- Create
Performance and Capacity Plans.
- Design
environments and CI/CD pipeline structures.
- Define
Non-Functional Requirements.
- Prepare
Architecture Review and Sign-Off Packages.
Power BI Development (Approximately 60%)
- Design
and develop Power BI semantic models.
- Connect
and integrate Databricks data sources.
- Develop
DAX measures and KPI calculations.
- Build
dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
- Configure
security models and Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Optimize
report and query performance.
- Support
testing, deployment, and implementation activities.
- Prepare
technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
Business Intelligence & Analytics Skills
- 7+
years of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics experience.
- 5+
years of Power BI development experience.
- Expert-level
knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Advanced
SQL and data warehouse development experience.
- Experience
designing enterprise semantic models and reporting architectures.
- Strong
stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience
mentoring developers and leading BI initiatives.
Data Architecture Skills
- 7+
years of data architecture experience.
- Expert
knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and enterprise data
warehouse design.
- Strong
experience designing Power BI semantic models and enterprise reporting
solutions.
- Expertise
with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, and SQL Server.
- Experience
implementing data governance, security, and performance optimization
strategies.
- Ability
to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture
solutions.
Business Analysis Skills
- Experience
working with business stakeholders to identify and gather requirements for
BI enhancements and issue resolution.
- Strong
data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent
analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong
verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective
interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Public Sector Experience
- 3
years of public sector and/or healthcare experience preferred.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+
years of Power BI development experience.
- 7+
years of data architecture experience.
