Business Intelligence Platform and Reporting Engineer, Delta, OH, North Star BlueScope Steel, LLC
Duties: Architect and maintain Business Intelligence Platforms, working across business areas to translate requirements into data solutions such as complex datamarts, data lakes, data warehouse and reporting solutions such as Microsoft Power BI. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and risk evaluations of BI systems to ensure compliance with internal and external cybersecurity standards. Execute data engineering and data architecting activities. Collaborate with IT security teams to monitor BI data pipelines and reporting environments for potential breaches or unauthorized access. Design solutions for Extraction Transformation and Loading of structured and unstructured data sources. Develop information security standards, software tools to assist in the detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats, and response and recovery strategies for security breaches. Troubleshoot security and network problems. Assist with training, orientation, and consultation regarding Business Intelligence tools as well as information security protocols, data governance policies, and best practices.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a related field. Must have experience working as Business Intelligence Analyst, Specialist or Consultant; Data Engineer; or in a related occupation. Ten years of data engineering to include:
SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Power Pivot and Power Query.
Power BI Desktop Designer, Power BI Report Builder, and DAX.
Data reconciliation.
Data Extract Transform Loading (ETL) solutions.
Training users and developers on Power BI.
Designing and executing reporting solutions including executive-level reports.
Five years of which must include:
Establishing secure data strategies, distribution mechanisms and practices.
Secure APIs, SAP BO Data Services and SAP HANA.
Relational and non-relational databases.
Secure access controls - Deployment Pipelines, Data Flows and Row-Level Security.
Web Intelligence and Tableau.

Skills Required
