Role Summary
We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our Data and Analytics department. This role is critical for transforming raw data into actionable business insights through complex analysis, mining, and visualization. You will work closely with team leaders to understand the nuances of DSI’s business, ensuring we capture, report, and act on data related to customer and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Domo Development: Serve as a subject matter expert in Domo to build, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
- Data Pipeline Management: Design and implement ETL frameworks to filter and clean data from various sources by utilizing Magic ETL, MySQL Dataflows or Python.
- Lifecycle Analysis: Monitor and interpret data across the entire customer lifecycle to identify trends and prove or disprove underlying reasons for performance changes.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a primary point of contact for multiple layers of leadership in Sales and Operations. Translate their business questions into technical requirements and delivery plans.
- Data Validation: Perform routine data quality checks to ensure the accuracy of reports before they are delivered to stakeholders.
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in the Agile/Scrum process, including daily huddles and sprint planning. Provide realistic estimates for project tasks and meet delivery deadlines.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Domo(preferred), PowerBI, or Tableau
- Strong proficiency in Excel (XLOOKUP, Index/Match, Pivot Tables)
- Advanced SQL skills (CTEs, Window Functions) and experience with relational databases
- Experience with Python for data automation or statistical modeling is a plus
- Professional Experience:
- 2+ years in a Business Intelligence or Data Engineering role
- Proven ability to synthesize research and advise on data-driven strategies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Previous experience in telecommunications or call center analytics is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical executive audiences.
