Job Description
As a Business Intelligence Developer here at NEXTDC, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that provide actionable insights to support business decision-making. In this role you’ll be involved with working with various data sources to create reports, dashboards, and data visualisations that help stakeholders understand and leverage data effectively. You’ll ensures data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, enabling the organisation to make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives
Within this position, your scope will cover:
- BI Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualisations, using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into BI platforms, ensuring data consistency and reliability
- Data Analysis: Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements and BI solutions
- Performance Optimisation: Optimise BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI solutions, including data models, processes, and user guides
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and solutions, ensuring they can effectively utilise the available data
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or a related role
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Fluency in English – excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet deadlines and work in a growing team
