POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports, extracts and dashboards within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals and IT teams to ensure that reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Key Responsibilities:
· Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom reports and dashboards within the Epic EHR system using Epic’s reporting tools such as Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer using Caboodle and Clarity data sources.
· Data Analysis: Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for report development. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
· Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and IT teams, to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.
· Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to Epic reports and data discrepancies. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
· Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for report specifications, development processes, and user guides.
· Compliance: Ensure reports comply with industry regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
· Continuous Improvement: Stay current with updates and best practices related to Epic reporting tools. Recommend and implement enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:·
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or within a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Epic Reporting preferred
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in report development, with a focus on healthcare reporting in Epic EHR systems. Experience with Epic’s Reporting Workbench, Radar, Caboodle and Clarity is required.
o Experience in lieu of education is preferred.
· Technical Skills:Proficiency in SQL, and knowledge of programming language. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus.
· Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
· Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
· Detail-Oriented:Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Compensation Range:
$71,500.00- $104,000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
