Job Summary

We are seeking a data-driven Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team. You will bridge the gap between raw data and strategic business decisions. Your primary focus will be gathering deeply detailed business requirements to design, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience building scalable reporting solutions using both Amazon QuickSight and Microsoft Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & KPI Definition

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to extract complex business requirements.
  • Translate vague business needs into detailed, technical data specifications.
  • Define clear, measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals.
  • Document data dictionaries, metric definitions, and source-to-target mappings.

Dashboard Development & Analytics

  • Design intuitive, interactive, and visually compelling dashboards in Power BI and QuickSight.
  • Build robust data models, calculated measures, and row-level security (RLS) features.
  • Optimize dashboard performance to ensure fast load times for end-users.
  • Migrate or replicate reports across AWS and Azure environments when necessary.

Data Governance & Collaboration

  • Validate data accuracy and consistency across all published reports.
  • Document dashboard metadata, metric definitions, and data lineage within Atlan to ensure unified data governance.
  • Train business users on how to navigate dashboards and interpret data insights.
  • Partner with data engineers to optimize underlying data structures and pipelines.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading requirement-gathering workshops with executives.

Technical Skills

  • Power BI: Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and premium capacity management.
  • AWS QuickSight: Deep expertise in SPICE ingestion, calculated fields, and AWS ecosystems.
  • SQL: Strong ability to write complex queries, joins, and aggregations for data validation.
  • Data Modeling: Solid understanding of star schemas, snowflake schemas, and normalization.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to dissect vague requests into structured logic.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to explain data to non-technical peers.
  • Detail-Oriented: Obsessive focus on data accuracy and formatting consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics) or Microsoft (e.g., PL-300).
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses like Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery.
Base Salary
$60,000$70,000 USD
