Candidates applying to this position must live within 3 hours of the Omaha, Nebraska metro. This position allows remote flexibility but will have occasional visits to the office.
The Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and analytical insights the assigned business team (i.e. Customer Service, Enrollment, etc.). This position will utilize data from multiple sources to create reports and analyze data to provide proactive recommendations regarding organizational changes and improvements. This position will collaborate directly with the Leadership Teams to recommend and support data driven solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Develop solutions to strategic business challenges through analytical techniques, including development of actionable insights for data driven decisions. This includes, for example, improve operational efficiency, mitigating risks and analyzing trends based on the analytics developed.
  • Create operational and ad-hoc reports and data extracts to support business processes and servicing.
  • Regularly monitors business performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provides insight into how changes in strategy, process and technology will impact the business and monitor and share impacts with leadership and planning teams.
  • Generate insights, trends and actionable recommendations, leading to implementation of initiatives and projects across the Customer Support Center.
  • Utilize various tools such as SQL Server and Excel for data analysis and reporting as well as proprietary reporting tools integrated in business applications.
  • Participates in business and product requirements and specifications to make recommendations related to proposed solution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the business problem, make recommendations and provide flexible and actionable data analysis.
  • Based on area of assignment may be responsible for the design, configuration, testing, implementation, enhancements, and support of department SharePoint sites to meet internal needs (process flow, content structure, information architecture, permissions, etc.).

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and up to 2 years' experience in data or statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or data analytics.
  • Experience using analytic tools such as Power BI and R.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate.
  • Skilled at writing queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills needed.
  • Highly effective presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills required.
  • Ability to translate complex data and analysis into business language.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Health Insurance industry experience.
  • Experience with dashboard development.
