Job Description:
The BI Developer will join a global team that provides development and support for Business Intelligence (BI), Reporting, and Data Warehousing solutions to the 1500+ global professionals with visibility from all levels of the organization including executives.
The BI Developer is expected to think and act strategically in planning, designing and creating a BI reporting data platform and supporting Data Warehouse infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing and maintaining data analytics solutions, visualizations, scorecards, and dashboards.
You will be responsible for the full life-cycle of business intelligence development using a variety of technologies, including Microsoft (SQL Server, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, & Power BI) and Domo as well as other standard Data Warehouse and data modeling tools and techniques. Opportunities will be available to cultivate innovation, evaluate new data tools & platforms, and lead projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect, manipulate, and analyze data
- Define business dimensions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Perform data profiling and analysis to create detailed logical models identifying all the entities, attributes and their relationships along with their associated characteristics
- Develop Multidimensional and Tabular Models with measures and aggregations using MDX and DAX
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues in BI platform and source systems
- Conduct training to help end users leverage and enhance their knowledge of the BI platform and tools.
- Maintain and Enhance physical models for BI Platform including Data Warehouse and staging areas.
Skills/Experience Requirements
- 2+ years direct BI development experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), PowerBI, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), PowerPivot, Domo, or Tableau.
- 2+ years of experience with a major Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) like MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- 1+ years of experience in developing data warehouses, data marts, tabular (DAX), or multi-dimensional solutions (MDX)
- 1+ year Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) design and development best practices, BI-specific software, analytics programs, and reporting tools

Education
Bachelor’s Degree is required with an emphasis on Business Analytics, Data Science, Big Data, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
