As a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst for our Italian business, you will be a pivotal member of the Italian BI team, focused on local delivery and transforming Italian analytics offerings. Collaborating closely with local teams and leadership, you will leverage data to drive insights, enhance client value, and propel our business operations forward. Working in tandem with a locally focused data operations team, your role is nested within the larger EMEA Analytics team, ensuring synergy with a wide array of talent including data scientists and automation specialists. You will specialize in analyzing and interpreting data, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions for both our clients & internal operations. Your exceptional analytical skills, combined with a deep understanding of BI tools, will enable you to visualize and communicate complex data effectively. What you’ll do
- Simplify and present complex data clearly to diverse audiences, ensuring understanding across all internal teams.
- Convert strategic business inquiries into actionable insights by actively seeking out and defining necessary analytics resources and requirements.
- Create prototype solutions such as reports and dashboards to visually represent complex data sets and support insight generation.
- Partner closely with wider EMEA Analytics Team to ensure the maximum value and best outcome is achieved.
- Deliver on the KPIs assigned to you that align with business goals, supported by a solid analytical framework.
- Facilitate communication between business units and Analytics teams to clearly define project objectives, business needs, and timelines, enhancing data organization, innovation, and optimization.
Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Italian is essential.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Business Intelligence (BI) role
- Common MS Office applications to excellent levels including SharePoint and OneDrive.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Power BI ( Power Query (ETL), and DAX and modelling). Other BI tool s.a Tableau would be fine as well
- Experience on Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, would be nice to have some understanding of Dataverse, Fabric etc)
- Experience in working with SQL and with relational databases
- Familiarity with Databricks and Azure.
- Experience in R, Python and/or Spark.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a diligent, focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven capability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive team player who can also excel independently when required.
