The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, and delivering business intelligence reports and dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role gathers reporting requirements, extracts and transforms data from multiple sources, performs data quality validation, and delivers meaningful insights to key stakeholders. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Business Intelligence Analyst applies analytical techniques, visualization tools, and reporting best practices to support business performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Gather, analyze, and document business reporting requirements from stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations using standardized reporting practices.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from operational systems, databases, and enterprise data platforms to generate actionable insights.
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and testing to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs.
- Select appropriate analytical methods and visualization techniques to address business questions and support informed decision-making.
- Develop interactive dashboards and data models using Power BI, including DAX calculations and performance optimization.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and analyze structured data.
- Work with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, and SSAS models to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and visualization techniques to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior analysts, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand reporting priorities and business objectives.
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support data governance initiatives by ensuring adherence to data quality standards and reporting best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, innovation, and emerging technologies.
