Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and transforming organizational data into meaningful insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. The role develops and maintains business intelligence reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and related tools while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reporting quality. The Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand reporting requirements, improve data quality, and support the organization's business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations based on business requirements.
Gather and analyze business reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Build and maintain data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.
Extract, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and approved BI tools.
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reports, dashboards, and KPI calculations.
Monitor report performance and perform regular updates and optimizations.
Investigate data discrepancies, reporting issues, and refresh failures, and support resolution activities.
Support the implementation of Role-Level Security (RLS) and data access permissions.
Collaborate with IT teams, system owners, and business users to maintain reliable data sources.
Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions.
Maintain report documentation, KPI definitions, data dictionaries, and reporting procedures.
Support automation initiatives using Power Automate where applicable.
Provide user support and training on BI reports and dashboards.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, dashboard usability, and data quality.
Stay updated on Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and business intelligence best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or a related field.
Good experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop and Service), including report and dashboard development.
Good knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint Online, and Power Automate is preferred.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting best practices.
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and KPI reporting concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Excellent command of English and Arabic (written and spoken).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Skills Required
