The Business Intelligence Analyst – Operations partners with operational leaders to design, deliver, and maintain accurate, timely, and actionable reporting and analytics. This role focuses on translating operational workflows and outcomes into standardized metrics, reporting, and insights that support continuous improvement and effective decision-making.

The Analyst serves as a bridge between Operations and Technology teams, ensuring reporting solutions meet business needs while adhering to data governance and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Reporting & Analytics

  • Partner with operational leaders to understand process workflows and objectives
  • Design, develop, and maintain standardized operational reports
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including volume, cycle time, backlog, error rates, and SLA performance
  • Provide proactive, data-driven recommendations to improve operational effectiveness

Business Requirements & Reporting Design

  • Lead requirements gathering for operational reporting initiatives
  • Translate business needs into reporting specifications and metric definitions
  • Document business rules, calculation logic, and operational assumptions
  • Collaborate with Technology and Data teams to ensure accurate implementation of reporting solutions
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet operational use cases and expectations

Data Quality, Validation & Governance

  • Perform routine data validation, reconciliation, and reasonableness checks
  • Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and quality issues impacting reporting
  • Partner with Technology and Operational teams to investigate and resolve root causes
  • Maintain documentation of metric definitions, controls, and reporting standards
  • Support audit, compliance, and risk management inquiries related to operational reporting

Reporting Portfolio Management & Prioritization

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of operational reporting products and dashboards
  • Track enhancement requests, defects, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure timely delivery of committed reporting deliverables

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as the primary reporting liaison for assigned operational business units
  • Present performance insights to managers and senior leaders
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives
  • Facilitate working sessions to review trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

Process Improvement & Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize reporting processes
  • Promote best practices for operational reporting
  • Support adoption of approved self-service reporting tools and standards
  • Contribute to documentation, training materials, and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other business-related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0, or 5–7 years of commensurate experience in lieu of specific degree required
  • Knowledge of general principles of data warehouse environments and enterprise business intelligence tools
  • Proficiency in reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Proficiency in SQL for analysis and data validation
  • Understanding of operational workflows, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and critical-thinking abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into understandable content for non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong willingness to learn, adapt, and actively contribute to the success of the organization
  • Position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant US based experience.
