We are currently hiring for a full–time BI Associate to join our growing team in Burlington, ON, within Aligned Capital Partners Inc.
Aligned Capital Partners Inc. (ACPI), is a member of CI Financial.
In this role, the successful candidate will assist and support the Trading and Operations Teams with a focus on the accurate resolution of trading and operational errors. This is a dynamic role where the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the risk exposure associated with the variety of errors and orders that are directed to this desk. Reporting directly to our Director, Business Integrity – Retail Supervision, the successful candidate will assist in the overall development and evolution of the role.

What You Will Do

  • Review and approve execution of trading and operational corrections with minimizing risk exposure to the firm
  • Liaise with advisors and Client Experience teams
  • Liaise between ACPI advisors and CI Back office in executing instructions
  • Responsible for Pro-statements tracking and maintenance
  • Provide reporting to various team members and functional units within the organization
  • Provide functional feedback to assist in evolving the platform
  • Optimize and document enhanced processes
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the many functional areas of Dealer operations, with the goal of being an active member in evolving internal platforms
  • Own and action inquiries and corrections in a timely manner
  • Any other adhoc tasks designated

You Will Bring

  • Exposure to trade cancellations, corrections and backdates
  • Time management & prioritization skills
  • Own and action inquiries in a timely manner
  • In-depth knowledge of the investment industry and the variety of investment vehicles available
  • Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently within an overarching team structure
  • Critical thinking and sound judgement
  • thorough understanding of the many functional areas of Dealer operations, with the goal of being an active member in evolving internal platforms
  • An understanding of advisor practices and the ability to foster open communication
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $42,500 to $71,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
