Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Business Insight Engineer partners closely with KLA Service business functions—including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Field Operations, Training, and Parts planning—to drive improved processes, measurement, standardization, and systemization across their operating models.

This role works at the intersection of business, data, and technology, collaborating with business process owners and Information Technology teams to design and deliver scalable data products, insights, and AI‑enabled solutions for KLA GSS. The Business Insight Engineer leads and contributes to initiatives that improve operational excellence, enable revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and collaborative problem‑solver with a strong passion for translating data into actionable insights, building intuitive solutions, and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze datasets to generate actionable business insights and identify, define, and supervise key performance indicators (targets).

  • Develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data products that enable timely, data‑driven decision‑making.

  • Partner cross‑functionally with business collaborators and IT teams to build, plan, and implement data products and analytics programs; serve as a liaison between business and technology.

  • Proactively surface insights and build scalable tools, and self‑service capabilities that empower partners to independently access and act on data.

  • Ensure Service data standards are consistently implemented across data products, including (but not limited to) object‑level security, row‑level security, UI/UX standards, and governance requirements.

  • Compose and enable AI‑driven solutions, including the development and deployment of AI agents that automate insights generation, answer business questions, assist decision‑making, and enhance operational workflows.

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to find opportunities where AI agents and sophisticated analytics can improve efficiency, quality, and business outcomes.

  • Supply to continuous improvement of analytics, data engineering, and AI practices within KLAS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.

  • Experience working in Business Operations, Finance, Analytics, and/or Information Technology, supporting data‑driven decision‑making.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.

  • Demonstrated experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, R, or similar) for data analysis and solution development.

  • Familiarity with developing or enabling AI‑driven solutions, including exposure to AI agents, intelligent assistants, or automation workflows for business insights.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively bridge technical and non‑technical team members.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning outlook, with knowledge of—or strong interest in—the the latest trends in the data and AI ecosystem, including evaluating and experimenting with new tools, techniques, and frameworks.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

    Base Pay Range: $111,100.00 - $188,900.00 Annually
