Job Description

Fragomen Philippines has an exciting opportunity to join the firm as a Business Immigration Consultant. This is a new role for the firm, focused on providing end to end immigration support and advisory to clients.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs a wide range of varied case/matter-related duties requiring specialized knowledge/ skills in employment-based immigration matters
  • Responsible for seeing each case through from end to end
  • Advising clients on Philippines immigration regulations, procedures & requirements and policies.
  • Maintain good communication and relationship with clients’ main contacts and ensure that at all times they are kept fully informed on progress of cases
  • Reviews instructions and information for each new case and advise client and assignee accordingly, including identifying key issues (if any) that may impact start date of assignment, immigration formalities (such as visa requirements);
  • Researches, prepares and formulates advice for clients;
  • Maintains constant contact with clients and the local authorities responsible for processing immigration applications. Keep clients well informed on any issues or changes to immigration requirements, regulations or visa processes as required;
  • Ensures accurate, complete and technically correct immigration applications are submitted in a timely manner;
  • Manages case work efficiently and effectively within agreed time/stipulated timeframes, if there are any, or otherwise within Fragomen’s standard timeframes;
  • Is fluent with case management and/or other reporting tools, internal policies on risk management and technologies used to manage data and information
  • Updates Firm’s case management system and maintains client files in accordance with Firm’s practice protocols and service level agreement
  • Assists in compiling metrics/reports as required under contractual agreement with clients
  • Attends to invoicing on completion of each case;
  • Participates in conflict resolution and management of client expectations;
  • Develops, maintains and encourages a positive development of relationship with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Ability to trouble shoot issues and support management when client escalations arise;
  • Works with moderate supervision/ guidance; is accountable for individual results and impact on team
  • Ability to mentor/guide the junior level case worker
  • Participate in business process improvements, technical training and other projects as required
     

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A good degree in any discipline with one to two years of immigration, specifically in POEA cases.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Achieve high level of productivity.
  • Ability to Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Meets assigned deadlines and communicates case progress/status/issues to supervisor.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
  • Ability to contribute to positive work environment.
