About the Role

We are a fast-growing, mission-driven immigration law firm seeking an experienced, strategic Business
Immigration Attorney based in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Our firm specializes in pioneering pathways for DACA recipients and foreign nationals to secure their green cards through career advancement and employment sponsorship.  

This is not a traditional associate attorney position. We are looking for an attorney who can grow into a client-facing role working with international entrepreneurs, business
owners, executives, and companies expanding into the United States. The ideal candidate combines strong legal ability with polish, warmth, curiosity, and a genuine interest in business.
In the long term, this person will independently run high-value consultations, develop strategies, maintain client and referral relationships, and represent the firm at international events.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Client Consultations & Business Development: Meet with prospective clients, explain the value of our services, and help qualified prospects decide to hire the firm — building trust rather than relying on aggressive sales tactics. 

• Case Strategy & Execution: Handle strategy, drafting, and filings across L-1A/L-1B, EB-1C, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, EB-3 PERM, E-2, O-1, employment-based green cards, and consular processing/adjustment of status.
  Prepare clients for USCIS interviews. 

• Relationship
  Management: Attend networking events, conferences, and client dinners; build long-term relationships with clients and referral partners, including potential international travel. 

• Public & Business
  Representation: Represent the firm at high-level business
  events, and over time contribute to public-facing efforts such as webinars, podcasts, presentations, or educational content. 

• Strategic Advising: Ask thoughtful questions to understand each client's broader business
  goals, weigh multiple possible legal pathways, and give honest guidance — including when a particular strategy can't be responsibly recommended. 

• Client Service: Own client communication and deliver a premium, high-touch  service without needing reminders. 
• Practice Growth: Help build new systems, services, and markets as this practice area develops. 
• Team Collaboration & Operations: Work with our legal support team to ensure accurate data entry and timely filings. 

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Bar Admission: J.D. from an accredited US law school; active bar membership in good standing (any US state; Arizona bar membership preferred or eligible for local
  practice). 

• Experience: 2+ years dedicated to
  Business-Based Immigration Law. 

• Location: Must be based in Arizona (Phoenix area) for in-person client interview coverage at local field offices. 

• Communication & Presence: Able to explain complex legal concepts simply, and confidently to executives without leaning on legal jargon; polished, credible, warm, and confident. 

• Business
  Immigration Experience: Background in L-1A/L-1B, EB-1C, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, EB-3 PERM, E-2, O-1, employment-based green cards, and/or consular processing/AOS preferred. Expertise in every category isn't
  required.

• Legal Skill & Judgment: Organized, analytical, detail-oriented with sound judgment on case strength and risk. 

• Relationship-Building & Sales Comfort: Enjoys networking and long-term relationship development; comfortable running consultations and asking for the business
  without being pushy. 

• Cross-Cultural Comfort: Enjoys working with international clients; open to travel. 
• Ambition & Coachability:
  Eager to grow, welcomes feedback,
  motivated to become highly skilled in business
  immigration.  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EB-5 Investor Petitions (I-526 / I-829 / I-956F workflows)  

• Prior experience at a high-volume corporate immigration law firm/dept (e.g., Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL), Fragomen, WR Immigration, or similar). 

• Experience or passion for helping
  DACA recipients transition to employment-based permanent residency. 
• Familiarity with modern immigration case management platforms. 

Compensation & Benefits

• $85,000 – $120,000 annually DOE
