Role Summary
The Business HR Partner for Corporate functions is an individual‑contributor role that provides strategic HR partnership and consulting support to Vice Presidents and other executive level leaders across Flowserve’s Corporate Functions.
This role operates as a recognized HR subject matter expert, working independently to solve complex people and organizational challenges, enable business change, and influence leadership decisions. The Business HR Partner acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and may periodically support or interact with members of the Executive Leadership Team.
This position focuses on HR consulting, leadership coaching, workforce strategy, and enterprise HR initiative execution rather than transactional support. This role requires exceptional organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders, competing priorities, and enterprise initiatives simultaneously with precision and follow-through.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner directly with Vice Presidents and senior leaders across Corporate Functions to align people strategy with business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, succession, and talent strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insight, challenge, and perspective to support effective leadership decisions.
Leadership Coaching & Advisory
- Coach senior leaders on performance management, leadership effectiveness, engagement, and team dynamics.
- Support leaders through organizational change, ambiguity, and transformation.
- Contribute insights or materials to support executive‑level discussions when needed.
Business Change & HR Execution
- Enable the people and talent aspects of organizational changes, including restructures, role design, and leadership transitions.
- Lead or support HR initiatives and projects with cross‑functional or enterprise impact.
- Translate enterprise HR strategies and programs into practical execution within supported client groups.
Collaboration & Enterprise Integration
- Partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, HR Operations) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Collaborate within the Corporate Functions client group to ensure consistency, clarity, and a high‑quality leader experience.
- May provide guidance or mentorship to junior HR professionals or project contributors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including direct partnership with senior leaders.
- Executive presence with strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in HR consulting, organizational effectiveness, and leadership advisory work.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR solutions to business strategy.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, exercise sound judgment, and influence without authority.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting Vice President level or executive level adjacent leaders.
- Background in a matrixed or global organization.
- Professional HR certification or Master’s degree in related field.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or corporate function (strategy, finance, operations, etc.) environments.
