About your role :
The purpose of this role is to partner with the Head of the EMEA South Region Business and the EMEA Chief Marketing Officer (both based in Italy) to provide high-quality strategic and financial insights, advice and challenge. The South region covers Italy, Iberia and Latin America. The role holder will also assist the Head of Business Finance, EMEA distribution, in supporting the achievement of the strategy and goals of the business.
Key elements of the role include:
Business partnering with the key senior members of the EMEA South Region and Marketing teams. This will involve the development of a broad understanding of the Fidelity business model and a deep understanding of all aspects of asset management, especially sales, retention, product & propositions development & management, including all financial drivers.
Building credibility through the provision of clearly presented financial information, constructive challenge and valued advice, supporting the goal of delivering real value and influence over decision making within this critical part of the business.
Developing the South region business strategy and plans in the context of the Global strategy, ensuring that it is founded in robust financial analysis and narrative. Agree guardrails upfront with stakeholders in relation to key financial information such as margins, minimum deal size etc.
Delivery of business finance services to the South Region business including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, management reporting, business case construction, pricing strategy, governance and support and expense & headcount scrutiny.
Key Responsibilities :
Own the finance relationship with the Head of South Region distribution. Support the financial approval process of business strategy and plans.
Act as the primary finance partner to the EMEA Chief Marketing Officer, translating marketing strategy into clear financial implications and ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities.
Provide financial and strategic insight, guidance (acting as a soundboard) and challenge to stakeholders, supporting decision making and the achievement of south region and marketing objectives and broader strategy.
Act as key point of contact / subject matter expert for strategic priorities and areas of focus
Collaborate closely with Finance colleagues supporting Corporate Enablers, Investment and Operations to ensure decisions are joined up and in the wider interests of the business and FIL.
Lead the identification of cost savings, revenue growth, efficiencies and productivity enhancing opportunities.
Partner closely with EMEA Distribution Business Finance colleagues and the globally based Finance support teams to coordinate processes, maintain high data quality and deliver timely, accurate financial analysis.
Drive continuous improvement of regular MI, automating and standardising with wider group MI where possible. Participate in driving and embedding AI and data-driven solutions where relevant.
About you :
Experience of the asset management, industry and knowledge of its financial and operational drivers.
Able to command respect from senior stakeholders and peers, comfortable playing a part in senior management discussions.
Ability to lead, influence, challenge, advise and offer alternative perspectives or solutions.
Capable of identifying information requirements and reviewing, designing and improving reporting and other processes.
Strong collaboration and team-working skills, ideally with experience of working in an international environment and matrix structure
Able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure.
