Business Finance and Operations Analyst:
To drive financial planning, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making to support business growth and efficiency. This role focuses primarily on business finance activities (80%) with additional responsibility for operations project initiatives and drive (20%)
Finance & Planning Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards
- Drive month-end closing as per the pre-set calendar days and underlying activities
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership teams
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand cost drivers, revenue trends, and operational impacts on financial performance
- Develop financial models for business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making support
- Assist in improving financial reporting automation and data accuracy
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and track savings realization
- Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports and presentation materials for management reviews
Operations & Project Management Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to digitize finance workflows
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional operational improvement projects
- Partner with IT and digital teams to drive these automations
- Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for efficiency enhancement and process digitalization
- Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and performance metrics
- Facilitate communication between finance and operations teams to ensure alignment on business priorities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- MBA / CA / CMA / CFA (preferred)
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in FP&A, business finance, or business analysis roles
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
