Job Summary

Business excellence Assistant - 1

 

What a typical day looks like:

• Support lean and six sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3
• Support in designing and building workstations, supermarket racks, benches, trolleys etc.
• Familiar with and able to use Moonshine tools and machines effectively
• Maintain catalogue of workstations
• Ensure good 5S in the work area and implement identified best practices timely
• Prepare and upload completed kaizen projects in the BE on-line Systems
• Maintain and update various indicators on the lean gallery and other defined locations
• Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use the following tools: pipe cutters, drills, power saws, power tools, manual tools, lean and six sigma tools, etc.
• Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations
• Ability to complete office tasks: telephone skills, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation
