JOB TITLE: Business Engagement & Technology Principal Engineer

DUTIES:

Works on a range of system integration and security initiatives involving Workday platform.

Works with external vendors and internal Vertex teams like Servicenow, Datamart, Data Science, Identity and Access management for developing integration solutions.

Works on Workday technical design, development and configurating using Workday technology stack like Core connectors, Studio, Enter Interface Builder and Report as a Service.

Will be a technical point of contact for HR projects including solution design, system configuration, technical documentation, and production support activities.

Responsible for supporting functional business owners of Workday HCM, Workday Recruiting and Workday payroll modules.

Provides continuous end to end support and enhancement of 200+ Workday integrations.

Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Workday's configurable security model.

Responsible for managing the Workday support queue and adhering to SLA's for ticket resolution.

Advises business partners on all key technical decisions during project delivery.

Supports regular SOX and internal audits of Workday system.

Develops a thorough understanding of Vertex processes and systems used for employee onboarding and offboarding.

Supports regression testing effort of semi-annual Workday upgrades.

Stays current on new Workday features/releases.

Collaborates with implementation partners and on/offshore managed services team on projects, enhancements, and maintenance activities.

Contributes to the selection and application of technical standards for the Workday platform.

Identifies areas for process improvement and develops proposed solutions to drive platform expansion and adoption.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Business Engagement & Technology Principal Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:
Workday technology stack focused on integrations, security, and reporting. Building Workday integrations using EIB, xslt, Core Connector, Document transformation (DT) and Studio. Working on Web Services integrations such as REST, JSON & SOAP and working in a SAAS Environment. Building advanced custom reports in Workday. Configuring Workday security namely user-based, role-based, intersection, segment based and integration security (ISU and ISSG). Developing and supporting PECI integrations with external payroll vendors. Ability to lead and participate in global level projects. Functional knowledge of Project Management, Agile and SDLC Methodologies.
