The Role
The role involves establishing Trexquant's Boston office by executing hiring strategies, coordinating office buildout, and representing the company in the local market.
Summary Generated by Built In

Trexquant develops and operates systematic trading strategies across a range of global liquid markets. This takes an enormous, deeply technical system, and an exceptional team to build it. We're a collaborative, fast-moving group of researchers and engineers who push aggressively, adopt new technologies early, thoughtfully integrate machine learning across our platform, and genuinely love what we build. If you're the kind of person who wants to take full ownership of bringing an established quantitative fund to a new location and build something from the ground up, we're looking for you.

The Boston Office

Boston has world-class quantitative and engineering talent, and we want to bring Trexquant there. You'll be instrumental in establishing our presence in Massachusetts, standing up a new office, building a team, and helping make Trexquant a name that top quantitative developers and researchers in the greater Boston area want to join.

What You'll Do

  • Drive hiring strategy and execution for quant developers and quant researchers as we build our Boston team
  • Lead candidate outreach, interviews, and closing, partnering with our recruiting team in Stamford, CT
  • Coordinate the physical and operational buildout of a new Boston office alongside leadership, legal, compliance, operations, and IT
  • Represent Trexquant in the Boston market through meetings, events, and direct candidate interactions
  • Track and report on hiring activity, office milestones, and expansion progress

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, operations, recruiting, partnerships, consulting, or a related role

Nice-to-Haves

  • High ownership mindset; you'll be operating independently and figuring things out as you go
  • Familiarity with the Boston business environment and hiring landscape
  • Interest in quantitative finance and technical organizations
  • Willing to relocate to the Greater Boston Area

Benefits
  • Competitive salary plus bonus based on individual and company performance
  • PPO Health, dental and vision insurance premiums fully covered for you and your dependents
  • Join a firm that values innovation and offers ample opportunities for career development
  • Collaborative, casual, and friendly work environment

The base salary for this role is $150,000 to $175,000, and will be determined based on the candidate’s educational background and professional experience. Base salary is one component of Trexquant’s total compensation package, which may also include a discretionary, performance-based bonus. This role is intended to qualify as exempt from overtime under applicable law based on job duties and salary level.
