Job Summary:
The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in expanding Help at Home’s footprint by sourcing and scheduling introduction calls with home care business owners. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a background in home care (preferably unskilled services) and Medicaid. The ideal candidate will excel at cold and warm outreach, relationship-building, and lead research, while working closely with the VP of Business Development to meet strategic acquisition goals.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Outreach:
    • Conduct cold and warm calls to potential leads, focusing on home care businesses that align with Help at Home’s acquisition strategy.
    • Clearly communicate the benefits of engaging in an introductory conversation with the VP of Business Development.
    • Achieve and exceed outreach targets, including the number of calls, connections, and scheduled meetings.
  • Scheduling & Coordination:
    • Schedule multiple introductory calls per week for the VP of Business Development with qualified leads.
    • Maintain a detailed calendar of meetings and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Market Research:
    • Research and identify potential acquisition targets based on predefined criteria, including Medicaid services and annual revenue size.
    • Gather and document key information about target companies (e.g., services offered, location, ownership structure).
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, contact information, and meeting notes.
    • Provide regular progress updates and feedback to the VP of Business Development.
    • Research and document key business details (e.g., services, ownership, and location) to inform outreach strategies.
    • Continuously refine and improve targeting approaches based on market trends and feedback.
    • Maintain an organized and detailed CRM/database of outreach efforts, contact history, and meeting outcomes.
    • Track progress toward goals and report key metrics on outreach effectiveness, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
  •  Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business development to refine lead criteria and outreach strategies.
    • Contribute to the development of outreach scripts and other communication materials.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and the workforce as well as a team member.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in research and using tools to gather business insights (e.g., LinkedIn, online databases).
  • Confident, proactive, and results-driven with a knack for building relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent notetaking and record-keeping skills.
  • Motivated to achieve both personal and organizational success through strategic outreach efforts.
  • Flexible and adaptive to feedback and changing priorities.


Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, or a related field
  • Background in home care, Medicaid, or healthcare services preferred.
  • Creative and proactive solution-oriented problem solver and mindfulness of the big picture is essential for success in this role.

Salary Range:
$50,000 - $60,000

This discretionary reward is determined by team management and is based on individual and team contributions.
